BIRDING CLUBS
The birding clubs and associations resources will be updated as often as needed. If you
wish to add or correct a birding club item, please send an email to
webmaster@wildbirding.com
African Bird Club - Provides a worldwide focus for African ornithology. Raises money to support conservation projects in Africa through the Conservation Fund. Encourages an interest in the conservation of the birds of the region. Liaises with and promote the work of existing regional societies. Publishes a twice-yearly color bulletin. Encourages observers to visit lesser known areas of the region, and search actively for globally threatened and near-threatened species
American Birding Association - The ABA represents a whole range of birding interests, from identification and
education to listing and conservation. We actively promote the economic and
environmental values of birding, and we encourage the conservation of birds and
their habitats. If it's about birding, it involves ABA.
Disabled Birders
Association - The DBA started in April 2000, but that date should not lead
anyone to believe that the organization is not serious. As nothing like it seems
to have existed anywhere it is an international association and, whilst the UK
chapter has most members, we invite membership from all over the world and would
like to see chapters getting together wherever there are birders with special
needs.
Disabled Birders Association - USA -
Welcome to the website for the Disabled Birder`s Association of America! We are
forming as a Chapter of the Disabled Birders Association International, founded
by Bo Beolens in the United Kingdom April 1, 2000.
Hummingbird Society - Our mission is to
promote the understanding and conservation of hummingbirds. Our membership is
worldwide. We teach about hummingbirds through this web site, our color
newsletter, and through wildlife art.
National Audubon Society - Audubon's mission is to conserve and restore natural ecosystems, focusing on birds, other wildlife, and their habitats for the benefit of humanity and the earth's biological diversity.
Our national network of community-based nature centers and chapters, scientific and educational programs, and advocacy on behalf of areas sustaining important bird populations, engage millions of people of all ages and backgrounds in positive conservation experiences.
National Fish and Wildlife
Foundation - The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation conserves
healthy populations of fish, wildlife and plants, on land and in the sea,
through creative and respectful partnerships, sustainable solutions, and better
education. The Foundation meets these goals by awarding matching grants to
projects benefiting conservation education, habitat protection and restoration,
and natural resource management.
North American Bluebird Society
- The NORTH AMERICAN BLUEBIRD SOCIETY, a non-profit conservation, education and research organization,
promotes the recovery of bluebirds and other native cavity-nesting bird
species.
Purple Martin Society - This web site is dedicated to Purple Martin Landlords, past, present, and future. Our purpose is to educate the Purple Martin public, to stimulate their interest and enthusiasm in learning about these birds and caring for them, and to bear testimony to what other enthusiasts have found so gratifying in perpetuating this bird's much needed support.
Turkey Vulture Society - An
international non-profit (501(c)(3)) corporation for the scientific study of the
Turkey Vulture (Cathartes aura), and a Universal collection point and Central
Library for published papers, reports, news items, and other information related
to the vulture.
